This is the I & II stage of the modernizing facilities of Banorte Financial Group at Mexico city. It is located inside a property already surrounded by a blind perimeter fence, a condition specified mostly for the clients safety, the spatial limits of the project were pointed by a preexisting semi used cellar that served as ATMs storage.
The intervention consisted in the total adequacy of the building’s exterior facade and in its whole interior with structural character and interior design. As a premise of the overall design, we took the determination to benefit 100% of the building’s shell preceding that the building’s most sustainable part is the one that already exists and along with optimal design decisions we accomplished a sustainable construction in all of its aspects. The introduction of curvilinear traces in the facades give character to the building that along with the aluminum modules coating in a horizontal way help balance the cellar’s proportion and binds it in a visual way to the pre existing office building. Along with the building’s sustainability discussion we opened spaces in the facades to allow the light thru the interior and we protected the building from precipitations and direct sun light with a front marquee.
