Plaza Bicentenario

Bicentennial: Let’s play with number 2: two hundreds and two cultures, two plazas, two levels, two pavements, two specialties. We must recover the open and controlled public space. We propose obtaining that great open space, of similar dimensions to the Zócalo, without the need for intervention or burial of the current traffic system. It is focused on obtaining a new elevated Zócalo, a plaza above the site.

A self-sustaining plate that supports and hovers; an open space to create a view into the distance and isolate it from the roughest surroundings, sinks to integrate the untouchable preexisting elements, the church and the connec- tion to the gardens; and elevates to connect to the abandoned buildings that.
